Today was the best birthday I've ever had.
In total, I didn't get much. A $50 walmart Gift card, promise of a clothes shopping spree, and $20.
But the amount of love I got was incredible. So many hugs, cards, happy birthday wishes, Myspace Comments, and I was actually tackled twice.
I love everyone so much.
Mmm. Love is tasty.

It's been a while since I posted in here. I have to say nothing too dramatic has changed
Except my relationship status on Myspace.
Yeah. I've got a girlfriend. Her name is Steph, she's from Texas. She's basically everything I've ever looked for.
and It's all thanks to Myyearbook.

I'm really happy.
She makes my life happy.

I think I can even deal with distance for her.

Tomorrow's my birthday. I have no idea what to expect.

I got a gift card already. I spent it on shoes, candy, beef jerky, Bone Palace Ballet, and Blades of Glory.

Life's been a good since last time I posted.

So I just finished The Deathly Hallows

and I have to say I'm not at all disappointed. There are certain series that dwindle after the first few, but Harry Potter is the first one I can think of that keeps you perfectly entangled until the very end.
The epilogue was cute, too.

So now I've just got to stall for 3 hours and 20 minutes until band practice. I won't be sleeping this morning, that's how crazy the book was.

Methinks I'll go play some Legend of Legaia. God knows it's a good time waster.

A random question

I just had this random question thrust upon me...

"If you won $100 this afternoon, what would you do with it?"

It seems I have four options.

1. I can save it until Sunday, when I get to hang out with my two best friends and go to the beach
2. I could go out and get my friend a proper birthday present
3. I could give my dad the money I still owe him
4. I could save it in my bank account for later use

I feel bad about the last several times I've hung out with said friends, I've mooched money off of them. I wanna pay, and not feel like I'm such a bitch. But alas.
I also feel horrible that, though I'm spending the night at his house, I didn't have the money to get my friend a proper birthday present. I had a few ideas, but none of them I could afford, so I just gave him a card and $20. I feel bad for my originality. But, I think he can forgive me. It's a pretty sweet card.
I owe my dad money because things around the house are getting extremely tight, and he can't lend out money. I had a brilliant moment, and I closed the rear hatch window of his car on my guitar amp. I owe him about $300. Putting 100 towards that would get him off my back and things would relax a lot for me. He wouldn't be on me so constantly to get a job, and I'd have my life back. However, I can survive if I don't pay him right away.
The last option is that I could save the money for a later date. I'd just go to the bank and put it in, and I'd have it for some other day when I needed some money desperately.

And with that, I'm done. I just thought it was interesting and that I'd share it with y'all.

So Friday we played a show that was sort of a waste of time, nobody really came for us, and we played last so all the fans for other bands left before we even went on. BAHHH.
But, we played a very good show for those kids who were there.
Tonight, we played Milly's Tavern, and it was phenomenal. Some people actually listened to us, and there was a whole crowd cheering. It was the best feeling I'd ever had, especially after such a lame day. I don't even know why I was in such a sour mood before going on, but getting on that stage and singing my heart out in front of all of those people made my day. I love it so much. When we write new material, he's not taking all the singing parts. I dibs some, right now.

*DIBS*

And now I go off to do something else.

Holy shit. Today was hot. but you already know that.
I went to the Museum of Science with my grandmother, saw a Omni Theater thing on Dinosaurs that I sort of didn't want to, went to an exhibit on Jane Goodall and her Chimpanzee research. I learned my grip is less than that of a chimp. Sad.
So we went home after that and I went to band practice. It was good. We're writing a new song. We've got our new recordings up on myspace. We might be getting a frontman (a kid who can sing, scream, and yell at the crowd) this weekend. No guarantees, though. I haven't even met him. I hope he's a better singer than me.
So, after practicing a bit, Tyler left, and Jess, Justin and I walked down to shell. We got ice cream, talked about stuffs, and then Justin's dad came and took me home. Then, I sat in the sweltering heat of my home waiting for my dad to get home, at which point we installed air conditioners in our bedrooms. Mmmm. Cold...
So, basically that was my day. Woo. This week looks to be pretty eventful.

END!

So I'm basically being forced to go to Boston tomorrow with my Grandmother. She guilted me into it. Me spending time with her is my birthday gift to her. Gahhhh. Help me. I'd so much rather band practice. I'm so sorry.
Today was extremely boring. I went to the Dentist's. That was the highlight of the day.
But tomorrow is the Museum of Science. I'll get back as soon as I can, and hopefully we can squeeze in some practice before anything else happens to throw it off.
Fuckkkk. This sucks.

So the last 3 days have been spectacular

Friday, I got up and mowed the lawn, and I was going to pick up Amber and go to Kingston and play in the Lumberjack Kickball Union thing, but when I got to her house, it started to downpour, so I decided against it. Amber found 2 N64's, 15 games, and 5 controllers, so we went to Julia's and played with them all day. I also beat the Elite four in Blue Version. It was pretty satisfying. That and I owned Julia's brothers in Diddy Kong racing, Goldeneye, DK64, and others. Fun.
Saturday, I got up just after the crack of dawn to go to band practice, and we had a very productive one. We wrote a good portion of a new song, and we tightened up a few loose bolts in other songs (basically just my inability to memorize lyrics). Then, we went to a concert in Boston at the Avalon, where I learned of a very pleasant act called Cherry S/T. There were some other decent metal bands, one (breathe) who's singer looked like the one from Evan's Blue, and another that wasn't quite worth mentioning. Then, Justin's cousin's band came on, and it was enjoyable. Not exactly my genre, but I could respect their abilities. They were all very talented, just not playing what I like, exactly. Meh. Then on the way home, Tyler saw some people doing it in the back of someone's car driving down the highway. That was fun.
Today, I went to look after my nephews for an hour while my mom did some things she needed to take care of, and then we went to the beach, went to get lunch, took a nap (all of us. Jaden, Jake, my mom and I.) and then I went home. Then I went to the Ska show at the Sad. Interrobang was supposed to be there, but they cancelled last minute, and two bands I'd never heard of played. They were good. It was fun. I'm skanked out. So, at 9, I got all sorts of hugs and went home, satisfyed at my wonderful weekend.
Not to mention when I got home, there were leftovers from Acupulco's waiting for me, along side some strawberry shortcake. Fucking splooge.
I hope this week is a fraction that good.

I took my Woodshop and Physics finals today. They went very well, and I found out that I got a 95 on my fucking Jr. College Lit. Final. Holy shit, I almost died.
I'm so stoked. Tomorrow all I have left is
And tomorrow is Joe Gore's grad party, and my band's playing.
As are Element 118, Neighbors With Guns(Joe's band), and FERALIA (formerly Agony of Mind)

We took all those pictures. They came out mostly really cool.
Band myspace, with pics
We went to the Mill on Cheney road, and after taking pictures for a little bit, the old guy who owns it came out and yelled at us for some reason. Whatever.
So we went to a creepy old looking house down the street
Then we went back to Jess' house and edited them.

I had a weird mood today.
We took those wicked sweet pictures, and edited them together and put them up on myspace, but I still felt like something was off. My dad saw it too, when I got home. The rest of the day I just sort of sat around.

I think I might know why I was feeling the way I was... but I'm not positive.

Meh. Maybe I'm just lonely. Or overly self conscious. Or I'm feeling inadequate because I've yet to get a job, and it's seemed so easy for everyone else. I've tried everything and it's not working. What the fuck.

Or maybe it's just 6 hours until my 3rd of 5 finals. Bahh...

I'm so sick of school. The end of this year sort of snuck up on me, until now.
Now I'm more than done.

Finals yesterday were half easy, half really hard.
The easy half was Jr. College Lit.
The hard half, History. Ugh.

After school and death and whatnot, the band practiced and finished our new recordings. I can't wait for them to be mixed.
Then I went home while everyone went to work, and I went with Josh to graduation. I still don't know why.
Afterwards we went to buy me shorts. I got two pairs. I wanted to get some good shirts too, but there weren't any good ones.
I took Josh home and the entire way down 111, I was stuck behind a Lancer that was going at  least 5 under the entire way. I was so pissed.
But I put on some Sigur Ros and everything got happy
Today I didn't do anything. I took a walk around Newton for a few hours. My new shoes are broken in.
Tomorrow I hope to go take band photos and such. Should be entertaining. We're going to have us meeting ourselves in the photos. I have some fun ideas.
Monday I have my Woodshop and Physics Finals.
Tuesday I have Economics. Then I'm done. Gah.

Tomorrow will be fun.
I've got cleaning in woodshop (eh)
a party in Physics (woo!)
lunch, then watching Pleasantville in Jr. Coll. Lit
Watching Invincible in History
then finally working on a project in economics.

Then after that, just 2 1/2 days left.
Friday I get out at 12
Monday is regular
and Tuesday I get out at 9:30.
Then I'm officially a senior. Fuck yeah.

Afterprom was amazing.
It was so well put together.
There was no organization, but there were so many wonderful activities to choose from.
In the gym, massive inflatable obstacle courses were abound
In the cafeteria, Bands (mine and Element 118) and Karaoke were set up.
In the Auditorium, movies were playing
Outside the Auditorium, Guitar Hero was going all night
There was free pizza, soda, water, and juice
and I had an amazing time.
I think the two bands that performed were great.

I was awake from 7am Friday to 5:40am Saturday. Saturday I slept until 4:30pm. Then I woke up and found out we were having dinner in an hour with guests. It was fun and delicious.

Today I had Earl over, and on the way dropping him off, I grabbed job applications for Wendy's and Burger King up in Epping.
I just filled them out and I hope to return them sometime this week.

My dad's going away Thursday to San Diego. He won't be back until Tuesday.
Wanna make plans?

So I've seen Spiderman 3. It was a letdown

I traded Codi my guitar for his Amp. He's enjoying it, but I haven't been able to use the amp yet.

I went on the Economics field trip, which was boring as hell but better than being in school all day.
I played in the Battle of the Bands. We didn't place, but we had a hell of a good time. The breakdown was fucking epic.
Tonight I played at the Sad and had a wonderful time with it, too. We're getting a live CD. It should be good, except how I can't sing and my voice started giving out in the last song.

I wish my band could possess an ounce of the talent and creativity that The Searchlight is Safety does. They're so good at life.

I gotta hand it to us though, we have a lot of fun doing what we do best. We don't really take ourselves that seriously, and it's fun as hell.

Ah good times...

I need a fucking Cab.

And a new rear windshield :(

I realized today how very much I have happening in May.

Tomorrow, Spiderman 3 is released.

Next week,
I'll trade my ESP guitar for Codi's $700 Randall Head.

Next Friday,
I have an economics field trip, then my first onstage performance at Battle of the Bands

The day after,
My first time performing at The Sad Cafe. You should come.

Some time between:
We're having a show at Justin's house with T-SiS and Element118

Friday The 18th:
My physics class is going to Canobie Lake. That night and into the next morning, I'm going to Sanborn's Prom After-Party. We're performing again.

Sunday the 20th: I'm getting a Delay pedal from Daddy's in Salem. I'm so excited I can barely stand it.

After:
Who knows? More to come?
There are only 6 weeks and a day left of school. I'm pumped.
That's NEXT MONTH. If you're not excited you're not living.

I want a hug. From everyone I know. Now.

I've had a wonderfun vacation.

Friday... I had an amazing 2 hour walk around Newton. I just decided "Hey. Fuck. Let's go for a walk." and I walked out my door and just kept going and going. It was wonderful. I walked past the middle school, all the way to Allie's grave, out onto 108, and home. Sounds shorter than it turned out to be. It was absolutely wonderful.

Saturday... I went to visit Jess at the restaurant she washes dishes at. I was introduced to the most amazing meal on the planet: a meatloaf omelette. After I ate I went home and sat around for a bit, then Jess called me when she got off work. We went out to Hampton Beach and took pictures and stuff. After we went to a dollar store in Raymond and stocked up on candy Then we came back to her house and hung out watching TV.

Sunday... I hung out with Justin and Jess and we went to the mall for like 20 minutes. From there we went to crash a Searchlight practice. I totally want a copy of their EP once it's out. They're an extremely good band, by any standards. By local band standards, they're gods among mere men. Anyway, after practice crashing, we went to Hampton Beach. We took a couple pictures, but weren't there long. From the beach we went back to Justin's and I got to try out the wireless guitar system. Sweet. We practiced without Tyler, which was sad. We all miss him.

Monday... I went to get job applications with Josh at WalMart in Epping and Staples in Plaistow. However, for reasons unbeknownst to either Josh or I, Josh managed to fail the application process in WalMart. Sort of sad. After, I took him home, and went home myself to do an online application for Staples.

Tuesday... I went to Leominster with my Mother to see my sister and nephews. We took my nephews out to lunch at Papa John's and afterward to a playground where Jake slept in his stroller and Jaden ran out his own battery running around the slide. On the way home I fell asleep. Apparently they ran me into the ground as well.

Wednesday... Today I hung out with Jess again. I called her to wake her up at 11, then we went to the Hampton arcades and owned existence. Our first ten minutes there, we'd spent all of our money and gotten two shy of 1000 tickets. It was all on the Storm Stopper. She hit the bonus on her 4th try. I hit it about 5 minutes later. Then we hit up Skee ball, and I had the best game of my life in it. I got almost all 50's. It was NUTS. We spent our tickets on keychains, jewelry, and inside-out blow pops. Eww... (the candy was chewy and the gum petrified. gross.) After the arcades, we walked the beach a bit, and then after a bit of that returned to her house. We watched a slideshow of her 8th grade trip to Washington DC and played Socketball with her little brother (baseball with a soccer ball) and had tacos for supper. I love her mom lol

Thursday... This day I went and picked up Amber and brought her to my house. We had planned on spending the day with Mike, but as it would turn out, he had other plans. We had to rescue him from Dylan's house, then he was brought home to get all baseball-y. We only got to hang out for a little bit, but it was alright because I had a nice time with Amber. Later Amber's mom picked her up and my dad brought me  to Byfeild to meet up with my Grandmother. I spent the night at her place.

Friday... I went with my grandmother to the Boston Institute of Contemporary Art. In a nutshell, a museum with funky new-age art. I enjoyed it. There was this one piece I liked a lot that was a photograph capturing two lightning strikes hitting simultaneously, it was beautiful. It was easily my favorite piece in the entire building. I also got to see the renovations that have occured to Bostons public transportation. My grandmother mdeFor example, the Silver line. It was mondo cool. Probably the best part of the day. That night I was up until about 4 talking on the phone with Jackie and Angie. ughhh so lateeee...

Today... I spent the entire day helping my dad move in Jenny. I went up to her house this morning and we packed everything up, then we headed it out, I picked up Josh, and we went and unpacked. Sort of. there's still all sorts of stuff strewn about everywhere. But I got a nice painting and $30 out of the day, so I'm feeling it was worth it. added to the $100 my grandmother gave me yesterday, I think I want to to go to Northstar and buy a delay pedal.

Tomorrow... I'm so excited. Band practice. Tyler's finally getting back from fucking Florida, and we can catch up on some much needed practicing. Only another two weeks before Battle of the Bands. Plus I just flat out missed the kid. A four piece band is nothing without the second guitarist. Or first. I don't know which he is.

I wonder when I read this tomorrow if it will be at all legible. I'm so tired right now. I think I'm about to pass out. Goodnight.

I had the most wonderful day in school today.
First off, I got to drive.
Second, I got maybe like 23 hugs.
The weather was/is GORGEOUSS!

I had my smiley pin on again today, too. I'm sure that had something to do with how AMAZING my day was.
I'm gonna go for a walk. Later, lovelies.

I found an acoustic version of Voices.
I am in love.
It's Here if you'd like to download or check it out.
I warn you. It's amazing.
So, Silence in Stereo has music up on myspace.
It's pretty bad at the moment, because we recorded on Justin's nice Virus-borne computer that kept skipping, so it skips a lot, but tomorrow I'm bringing over my beast. Hopefully we should be able to get something decent done.
I'm gonna go sleep and dream of this song. Dear god.

I'm so glad it's nearly over. This week, it seems, has been the longest of my life. I'm so glad it's finally going to be Friday in an hour and 15 minutes.
Tomorrow I have another band practice. Last time we hammered out an entire song, this time we might be able to get another. I already have some good material I'll show to them.
GOSHIMSOEXCITED!!!

Tonight was the first Silence in Stereo practice.
It went extraordinarily well. I wrote a guitar part I didn't even know I had the talent to. It's easy but sounds SOOOO GOOD.
I'm in love with the song. It's called either Lights Out! or First Blood
ANYWAY.
After, I went with Mike, Justin, and Jess to the Timberlane battle of the bands. It was sort of lame, maybe a waste of my 7 bucks.
I'm now psyched for the Sanborn BotB. Playing that song in front of a whole buncha people. AHHHH SO EXCITED.
You'd better be there, it's gonna be epic. We will steal the show from Agony of Mind.
